15 T/Day Flake Ice Evaporator Drum | Heavy-Duty Single Drum for Port and Processing Plants

| Core components for flake ice making | |
| The flake ice evaporator serves as the core heat-exchange component of the ice-making unit. Refrigerant circulates within the cylindrical body to facilitate heat exchange, forming a uniform layer of ice on the inner wall, which is then continuously scraped off by a blade mechanism to produce flake ice. The unit features a stationary vertical design: the evaporator cylinder remains fixed while an internal scraper rotates along the inner wall to harvest the ice. This configuration minimizes wear and ensures a tight seal, effectively preventing refrigerant leakage. | |

| High-quality flake ice, highly efficient refrigeration | |
| Ice flakes are available in thicknesses from 1.8 to 2.2 mm; the ice flakes have a large contact area, are dry and do not easily stick together or clump, resulting in rapid cooling and thorough mixing of materials. The ice flakes have rounded edges without sharp corners, preventing scratches or punctures to the materials being frozen during operation. | |

Installation and handling notes
The drum ships on a steel transport frame; lift only by the four lugs, never by the shaft or pipe stubs.
Foundation must be level within 2 mm/m — drum run-out directly affects ice thickness uniformity and blade life.
Insulation is factory-applied; exposed pipework on site must be insulated by the installer.
Allow a minimum [800] mm service clearance on the scraper side for blade inspection and replacement.
For marine installations, specify 316L and stainless fasteners; carbon steel frames require a specified coating system.
Can I buy the drum without compressor and condenser? Yes — that is the standard configuration. The drum is supplied as a standalone component with defined capacity, connection sizes and mounting interface.
Why one large drum instead of two smaller ones? A single 15 t/day drum means fewer moving parts, one drive, one water circuit and lower maintenance. If your plant cannot tolerate downtime, we also supply tandem dual-drum configurations — ask for the redundancy option.
